Grace Christian School
Individualized instruction from a Godly perspective

Grace Christian School provides an alternative to the conventional classroom experience. Our one-room-style classroom encompasses educational opportunities for grades K-6. The small class size affords individual attention to each student.
Our school began in 1988 in order to provide a Christ-centered education for the children of our church families. Once in operation it soon became apparent that other families were interested in the kind of education that Grace Christian School provided. Students are accepted from many backgrounds provided the parents understand the distinctive nature and particular objectives of Grace Christian School. Each family admitted must have at least one parent or guardian who is an active member of an evangelical church.
Covenant Presbyterian Church sponsors the school by providing classroom space, financial support, and general oversight.
Our Mission Statement
Grace Christian School, a ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church in San Jose, provides a Christ-centered education for the children of our church families and those within the Christian community at large. The ministry of Grace Christian School is to assist these families in training and instructing their children and preparaing them for effective, godly service.
Our Statement of Faith
Grace Christian School is guided and governed by the belief that the Bible is the final authority in all matters related to what we are to believe and how we are to live. We believe that the essential doctrines of Scripture are best summarized and explained in the Westminster Confession and Catechisms (a copy of which is available upon request). These essential doctrines include, but are not limited to the following truths:
- that the Triune God is Creator and Ruler of all things and that all creation is to be in submission to Him;
- that all humans by their nature and actions are naturally in rebellion against God and need to be reconciled to Him;
- that Jesus Christ, God’s own Son, being fully God, became man in order to pay the penalty of his people’s sins and reconcile them to God;
- that the gift of reconciliation to God is received by faith in Christ alone;
- that the reconciled are to live lives of obedience in gratitude for their salvation.
These are the truths that GCS strives to live by and instill in the students as we prepare them to live as God’s people in God’s world for God’s glory.

School is in session Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm.
You are welcome to visit the classroom by appointment.
